Hi! Nice to meet you!

I am a ceramic artist, fiber enthusiast, silk painter, and hand embroidery teacher. I  moved back to the US from the Netherlands in the winter of 2023 and now live and work in Concord, NC.  I am probably best known (if I am known?) for my use of bird, bunny, and floral motifs in both silk and ceramics. 

I love creating colorful, unique pieces that reflect my passion for folk art inspired craft. I hail from a long line of quilt makers who taught me the value of handmade work and the joy of expressing oneself through color, texture, and pattern.

Fun facts:  I love bird watching; barn quilts; the prairies of Wisconsin; mt dogs; Vietnamese coffee; and the Boston Celtics.  My immediate family includes six sons, four of whom are my family's former international exchange students. I was once a professional chef and restaurant owner.  Currently in addition to making pottery and tiles, I am the owner and operator of a successful graphics design company which partners with independent bookstores and gift shops across the United States and Canada.
